I recommend renting a bike or car to minimize travel costs and see as much as possible. In Thailand, you can ride a moped only with category A, if you have an M, it will not fit. The fine for driving without a license is from 1000 to 2000 baht. Medical insurance does not cover injuries caused by driving without a license of the required category.
